The outing I am prposing is not recommended under or after raining wheather conditions. Many vertiginous and particularly exposed paths are found all along the way. Here is my proposal for this weekend:
Date: | Saturday, 25 August 2007 |
Site: | Aiguilles Croches (2487m) |
Classification: | P3T2 (Fairly difficult - 13.1 km) |
Altitude: | 2487 m (highest point) |
Climbing up distance: | 1245 m |
Climbing time: | 4h30 |
Total hiking time: | 7h30 |
Starting point: | Le Petit Lay (1415 m) -(close to altiport) |
Meeting point: | Rest. Manora (Blandonnet commercial center) at 8h00 am |
Remarks: | Panoramics |
Access: | Motorway to Chamonix. Come out of it at the high ofSallanches. From there drive to Combloux and then to Megeve. In Megeve take the road driving to the altiport and Cote 2000. Park in le Petit Lay just before the altiport. The trip to Le petit Lay may take 1h30 m. |

It is convenient to emphasize some useful items: please do not forget to carry on (wear) raincoat, hat/cap and sun glasses, warm gloves, hiking boots or sport-footwear with thick and non-slipping sole, enough food and drinks for the own consumption. Spear dry clothes and after excursion confortable shoes are very convenient.
Have a lovely weekend! Cheers! Jose.
