This is the very first excursion in the 2006 session. As it takes place at the beginning of Spring and as the snow is still around I have choosen a low altitude excursion and a very short one to compensate for the uneasyness of the snow. Here is my proposal:
Date: | Monday, 1 May 2006 |
Site: | La Dole (1677) |
Classification: | Very easy |
Altitude: | 1677 m (highest point) |
Climbing up distance: | 425 m |
Climbing time: | 1h20 |
Total hiking time: | 2h |
Starting point: | Teleski of Dappes - (1989m) |
Meeting point: | My place at St. Genis at 11h30 am |
Remarks: | Panoramic |
Access: | Cole de la Faucille following RN5 direction Les Rousses. Park nearby the chair lift of des Dappes, about 4 km far from the col de la faucille. Driving time from my place: 30 minutes

It is convenient to emphasize some useful items: please do not forget to carry on (wear) raincoat, hat/cap and sun glasses, warm gloves, hiking boots or sport-footwear with thick and non-slipping sole, enough food and drinks for the own consumption. Spear dry clothes and after excursion confortable shoes are very convenient.
Have a lovely weekend! Cheers! Jose.
