After a long break I am finally back and ready to propose next excursion. Taking into account that excursion 3 to le Mont Chauffe was really very "Caliente" and in a trial to facilitate life for the more peaceful hickers, I propose a easy one for this coming weekend. I hope, weatherwise, this sunday be great. Here is my proposal for Sunday 21st of August:
Date: | Sunday, 21 August 1994 |
Site: | Le Plateau de Chamoise (1120 m) |
Classification: | Easy |
Altitude: | 1120 m |
Climbing up distance: | 630 m |
Climbing time: | 1h50m |
Total hiking time: | 3h30m |
Starting point: | Left hand side of the "Nantua Lake" (490 m) |
Meeting point: | CERN Main Cafeteria, on Sunday at 9.00 am. |

It is convenient to emphasize some useful items: please do not forget to carry on (wear) raincoat, hat/cap and sun glasses, warm gloves, hiking boots or sport-footwear with thick and non-slipping sole, enough food and drinks for the own consumption. Spear dry clothes and after excursion confortable shoes are very convenient.
Have a lovely weekend! Cheers! Jose.
