Excursion 02

Dear colleagues,

Although last weekend it was horribly hot, hicking was worth and we had access to a really beautiful panoramic (Mont Blanc included) and a surprisingly pleasant and lonely lake. I hope next excursion be of a similar quality. Here is my proposal for excursion 02 on this coming sunday 10th of July:

Site:	Pointe de la Bajulaz - La Tournette (2351 m)
Classification:	Difficult, ma non tropo.
Altitude:	2254-2351 m
Climbing up distance:	1200-1300 m
Climbing time:	3.50 hours
Total hiking time:	6.30 hours
Starting point:	Montmin (1050 m)
Meeting point:	CERN Main Cafeteria, on Sunday at 8.00 am
Remarks:	Panoramics
Access:	To reach Montmin, we should drive to Annecy, take the road to Talloires and before crossing Talloires take a little road to the left to Le Col de la Forclaz and continue till Montmin. The trip from CERN to Montmin Village may take 1h30.

At 5.00 pm we should have finished hiking and be down at the chalet de l'Aulp. There we can decide whether to drink a beer or to proceed to the lake of Annecy to swim for a while. In the URL http://excursiones.salicio.com you can find information on the outings.

It is convenient to emphasize some useful items: please do not forget to carry on (wear) raincoat, hat/cap and sun glasses, warm gloves, hiking boots or sport-footwear with thick and non-slipping sole, enough food and drinks for the own consumption. Spear dry clothes and after excursion confortable shoes are very convenient.
