As every year, it has arrived the time to officially start the hicking session. This time, however, some of us have already started the excursions in spite of the bad weather predictions. I am sorry if this first "official" excursion does not perfectly fit your physical shape. Nevertheless, I am sure you will recover it in one or two goes. I've chosen a "medium size in difficulty" excursion for the coming sunday. My proposal for excursion 01 (this Sunday) is the following:

| Remarks: | Panoramics. Darbon's lake is beautiful lake where swimming is possible. |
| Access: | Novel is a little village near St.Gingolph in the Swiss-French border at the other side of the Leman lake. The car access to St.Gingolph can be through Evian ( 1 hour 20 minutes) or taking the motor way to Montreux and taking the first way out after it ( 1 hour). The trip from CERN to Novel may take 1 h 30 m. |

It is convenient to emphasize some useful items: please do not forget to carry on (wear) raincoat, hat/cap and sun glasses, warm gloves, hiking boots or sport-footwear with thick and non-slipping sole, enough food and drinks for the own consumption. Spear dry clothes and after excursion confortable shoes are very convenient.
